This was one of my favourites that we’ve read. And I’m so glad I read it in Book Club! It was a big I probably would not have picked up on my own…the back cover can’t begin to describe the emotion and experience you get when reading this book. Each chapter features a different woman from a family over about 300 years in Ghana and beyond. It is emotional and uplifting, sad and heartbreaking, and utterly lovely. A very satisfying and thoughtful read.
